What are Sodium Laruryl Sulfates and why you should avoid using them

Sodium laruryl sulfates have foaming properties to create lather in body wash and shampoos. Salt is also added to help the sodium laruryl sulfates to lather more, which we all love. These two combinations are very harsh and drying on your scalp and hair,
which can create dandruff and increase hair breakage. Sulfates are also very harsh on your hair color and causes your color to fade much faster than normal.

Studies have shown that 2% of these sulfates are harmful to the hair, scalp, and skin. So, it is very concerning to me as well as it should be to you, that most products contain 10-20% of sulfates.
The deposits of sulfates will penetrate the hair follicle, which will lead to corrosion of the hair follicle. and cause hair thinning and or hair loss. This will also cause your new hair growth to slow down 8 times slower than normal.

You must always remember that just because the manufacture makes a claim that there are no sulfates in their product doesn't make it true. Always read the ingredients, sulfates come in many different names.

 Sodium laruryl sulfate
 Disodium laureth sulfosuccinate
 Sodium lauroyl sarcosinate
